reg - re 'debug' wrapper
reg [options] [string] [regex] Options: -ascii use ASCII encoding for matching -global multiple matches -help brief help message -no-color disables ansi sequences -version show version of reg
Uses ASCII encoding for matching. In particular it means that the data given to this utility is threated as binary data and \d only matches [0-9].
\d
[0-9]
Assume multiple matches, just like if /g modifier in list context was used on RegExp.
/g
Print a brief help message and exits.
Disables ANSI sequences and enforces the text-only representation of RegEx debugger. Useful when pasting the output of RegEx debugger.
Shows current reg version.
This program tries to match regex to string and shows Perl regular expression debugger output.
